A Mills man is admitting that he misused money while he was in charge of a war veterans post.

Fifty-year old George Hall has pleaded guilty to one charge of theft.

Investigators with the Mills Police Department say from July 2013 through January 2014, Hall was the Quartermaster of the VFW post.

During his tenure, Police say he had access to the post's debit card, and made more than $15,000 in purchases and ATM withdrawals.

When interviewed Hall said the money was used for various items at the VFW post, but then later said some of it was used for personal items, such as food, minutes for his cell phone and Facebook games.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will not seek any prison time for Hall, but could seek probation time and/or time at the Casper Re-Entry Center.

He is free on $10,000 bond and will be sentenced at a later date.
