The initial appearance is expected in Wheatland Friday afternoon of the suspect tied to the killing of four people found shot to death in a trailer there.

Everett Conant, in his mid 30s, was arrested after a brief standoff Thursday evening.

The Platte County Sheriffs office reports the dead are reportedly from the same family and include three minors.

Sheriffs deputies responded to the 911 call to the trailer park on the 700 block of oak street in Wheatland just before 6 p.m. The caller reported screaming and shots fired.

Platte County Sheriffs deputies, on arrival, reported hearing a single gun shot and of a female running down the street. The female is reportedly the wife of the assailant and it's believed the minors are his children

Deputies says they attempted entry and after several minutes, Conant, who was unarmed surrendered without incident.

In side the trailer deputies found the three fatally wounded minors and one adult male, believed to be the brother of the accused. He was still alive at the time, but died later at hospital.

The names of the victims are being withheld and Sheriffs officials say they have no motive at this time.
