CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A foundation is seeking applications for wildlife projects to be funded through the auction of big game licenses.

The Wyoming Governor's Big Game License Coalition is accepting applications for projects to be funded by auction or raffle of Gov. Matt Mead's complimentary big game licenses.

State law gives the governor up to 20 complimentary licenses a year, including five highly coveted bighorn sheep tags and five moose tags.

Mead has selected Wyoming Wildlife-The Foundation to administer the sales of his licenses through the coalition. Proceeds from the sales will be used on projects that help hunting and conservation in the state.
