Fires Scorch Grass Near Goose Egg, Bessemer Bend [VIDEO]

A grass fire near Goose Egg Road along Wyoming Highway 220 has been mostly extinguished Thursday afternoon.

Natrona County Fire Protection District and crews from other departments put out the fire that stayed south of the highway.

The amount of ground burned was probably about several acres.

Crews were mopping up the scene by 3:30 p.m.

The cause or causes of the fires are unknown at this time.
