SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) — Fire restrictions remain in effect on the Bighorn National Forest.

Fires are restricted to designated campgrounds and picnic grounds.

People using chain saws on the forest are required to carry a firefighting tool such as a shovel. Saws must have approved spark arresters installed.

Violations of the fire restrictions may in fines up to $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization.
