ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Final preparations are being made as the Sweetwater County Events Complex in Rock Springs hosts the National High School Finals Rodeo in July.

During a recent meeting of the Sweetwater County Fair Board, Events Complex Executive Director Larry Lloyd said the electrical service at the complex will be improved to handle the power needs of the national rodeo.

The Associated Press reports that maintenance supervisor Drew Dunn says water and sewer work is being done at the campgrounds.

And event coordinator Kandi Pendleton says a new sound system will be installed at the jackpot arena and grandstand.

Pendleton said that 1,080 hotel rooms will be available, plus 1,450 campsites. There will also be dry campsites, which lack water and sewer connections.
