A man is stabbed just outside the front doors of the Casper Events Center Saturday night.

Shortly after eight-thirty Saturday night during the 1A and 2A high school basketball tournament, an argument that is believed to have started inside the Events Center resulted in one man being stabbed in the back.

Reports to investigators indicate there were somewhere between twenty to one hundred people involved in several small skirmishes outside the front entrance of the Events Center.

"Numerous agencies responded, once they were at the Events Center, then they contained the scene and identified any known victims or suspects that were involved in the fight. Detectives from the Casper Police Department were able to conduct interviews and a suspect, who is a juvenile, was identified and then a warrant is currently out for their arrest."

Detective Randy Dolberg with the Casper Police Department also said the suspect was seen leaving the area on foot.

The injured man was transported to the Wyoming Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.

Security and police presence is expected to remain as scheduled for this weekends basketball tournament.

"But as far as I know, we'll have just the amount of requested officers as we normally would have up at the Events Center for this weekend. I don't think that this is something that will continue over into next weekend."
