An Evansville teen originally charged with one count of burglarizing a cabin at Alcova Lake in November now faces 22 counts of burglary, according to Natrona County District Court records.

Christopher Wallace, who was 17 at the time of his arrest, pleaded not guilty to the one count in January. Despite his age, the District Attorney's Office is prosecuting him as an adult.

In March, the District Attorney's Office charged Wallace with burglarizing 22 separate cabins on Pelican Ridge Road, Rocky Shore Road and Jake's Run Road from Nov. 10 through Nov. 13.

If convicted, he could face up to 10 years of imprisonment on each count. Wallace remains in custody on $20,000 bond.

During their investigation, Natrona County Sheriff's deputies received reports of the burglaries in the following week. Total damages to the cabins amounted to $19,700, according to an affidavit by a sheriff's deputy.

One cabin had a video camera installed. It captured an image of two people at the time the break-ins were committed. Deputies identified Wallace and learned he had been listed as a runaway since May 2016.

Wallace was eventually located. After waiving his Miranda rights in an interview in November, he admitted to the break-ins. Deputies were able to recover some of the stolen items.

Wallace also named Adrian "Joseph" Sixfeathers as his accomplice.
