The Town of Evansville is celebrating the grand opening of the new Evansville Community Center on Wednesday  with an open house from 3-7 p.m.

Ribbon cutting will be at 3:15. The center features two small meeting rooms that will accommodate 20-25 people each and one large meeting room that will accommodate over 100.The center also has a full service commercial kitchen, with a large dining room and has been serving lunches for seniors since mid-January, in partnership with the Central Wyoming Senior Citizens organization.they have a computer room with five laptops that were donated by Best Buy, and have formed a partnership with the school district to use the facility to help
at-risk students bring their grades up. It will also be available to others.There is a large room that is basically a combination library-museum, with artifacts on display from the Reshaw Bridge area down by the river, which was
the main crossing point for pioneers from 1851 to 1865 There will be refreshments and tours, and they encourage everyone to come out and see this facility that was made possible by a $1.5 million grant from the Wyoming Business Council. We visited with Evansville Mayor Phil Hinds about the project this morning.
