CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming Sen. Mike Enzi will be the Republican leader on the Senate Finance Committee's subcommittee dealing with the U.S. tax system.
The Republican says he welcomes the duties on the Subcommittee on Taxation and Internal Revenue Service Oversight.

Enzi says the nation's tax rules are overly complex and don't incentivize economic growth.

Enzi will also serve on the Finance Subcommittee on Health Care, as well as the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Subcommittee. Enzi is also a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee, where he is the ranking Republican on the Subcommittee on Children and Families.

And he will serve on several subcommittees under the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.

Enzi also serves on the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee and the Budget Committee.
