Monday marks the start of a new semester and a new school year at Casper College.

Casper College president Dr. Walt Nolte says, though it’s still a little too early to pinpoint exact enrollment figures for the upcoming school year, he expects the combined head-count and full-time equivalency total to remain steady near the 4,000-student mark.

“It looks like our enrollment will be probably about what it was in 2011-2012,” Broughton said. “Our enrollment tends to be countercyclical to the economy, so, when the economy is good, our enrollment is off a little bit and vise versa.”

Nolte says more concrete enrollment numbers should be available in a few weeks.
