Elderly Woman In Fatal Crash Identified
Casper Police have identified the elderly woman who was killed in a vehicle-pedestrian collision, on Casper's east side.
Investigators say at around 7am on Sunday, September 14th, 84-year old Joanne Robinette, was walking her dog near the intersection of East 15th and Pinyon Streets.
She was not in a cross-walk when she attempted to cross one of the roads, and was hit by a vehicle going east on 15th.
She later died at Wyoming Medical Center, from injuries she sustained.
The driver of the vehicle told officers her vision was impaired by the sun.
Investigators are waiting for the results of blood and urine tests on the driver, to determine if any charges will be filed in the case.
