A Casper man is going to jail for taking money from his place of employment.

Edward Jones was sentenced to three and one-half to five years in prison after pleading guilty to one charge of grand larceny.

Prosecutors say the theft of nearly thirty-four hundred dollars happened several times between May and December of last year at the Casper Animal Medical Center.

Jones was caught when the owner of the medical center set up a video camera in her office, where the money was kept.

Although it was dark at the time the money was taken, the video showed a man using a cell phone as a flashlight, and that person was wearing thick-framed glasses, which the owner believed to be Jones.

Casper police say Jones admitted to taking the money, in order to give it to his sister, who has cancer.
