Education Reform Advances In Wyoming Senate

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The state Senate has approved a bill that continues education reform efforts in Wyoming’s public schools.

Senate File 57 was approved on a 26-4 vote Monday. It now heads to the state House for consideration.

The proposed bill deals with everything from testing of students to teacher and school administrator evaluations. It sets up a process for measuring how students are performing academically year to year and helping improve schools with poorly performing students.

The bill is part of state education reform efforts to make sure Wyoming high school graduates are better prepared for college and careers.
