Dry for Now, Still Windy in Portions of the State

Portions of southern, central and the area around and including Cody will continue to experience some very strong, gusty winds today.  A High Wind Watch is in effect this afternoon through Wednesday morning for the Cody foothills including the towns of Cody and Meeteetse.  West winds there will gust to 60 mph at times.  Elsewhere in the state, west to southwest winds will gust to 40 mph.

Otherwise weather conditions will be dry with mostly sunny skies today and tomorrow.  High pressure is still the main feature dominating our weather, thus the dry conditions will continue for awhile longer.  Daytime highs will top off in the 40s and 50s, with a few 60s possible in the southeast and 30s for the mountains.
