The Natrona County Coroner has identified the Casper man who drowned at Alcova Reservoir on Saturday.

Coroner Connie Jacobson said the man was Todd S. Hallsted, according to a news release from her office on Sunday.

The call reportedly came in about 11 a.m. Saturday.

Officers from the Natrona County Sheriff's Office and the Game and Fish Department recovered the body.

According to social media posts, Hallsted was a beloved teacher at Natrona County High School.

His body was found about 20 minutes after the call came in, and was found about 30 feet from the shore of Cottonwood Beach

The investigation is continuing, and an autopsy will be scheduled, Jacobson said.
