ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Sweetwater County sheriff's officials have arrested a delivery driver accused of stealing close to $9,000 in equipment and goods from FedEx.

Authorities say 22-year-old Jayce Chandler Brood of Rock Springs is a contract driver for FedEx. He appeared in court Thursday on charges of larceny by bailee and wrongful taking or disposing of property. His bond was set at $7,500.

Sheriff's officials started investigating after a computer was reported missing from a FedEx shipment. Investigators say they searched Brood's apartment and a vehicle and recovered items including six iPad 2s, coffee, computers, speakers and a flat-screen television that had been stolen from FedEx.

Brood didn't immediately return an email Thursday seeking comment.
