The FBI believes it has solved a string of at least 20 ATM thefts in seven states, including Wyoming, with the arrest of two men, one of whom has been indicted for stealing money from an ATM in Idaho and shooting at pursing police officers.

Agents believe 34-year-old Nathan Davenport and 39-year old Matthew Annable committed robberies over the past 16 months in Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Florida, Mississippi and Texas that netted them at least $500,000.

In each case, the robbers cut the bolts of the ATM door, attached a chain to a pickup truck and pulled off the door.

Davenport and Annable were arrested on January 12 in Orem, Utah, on suspicion of a Dec. 8 robbery in Douglas, Wyoming.
