District 35 State Representative Race to See Recount

It was a close race for the Republican nomination for state representative in District 35.

Evansville’s Kendell Kroeker narrowly defeated Casper’s Patrick Bishop by three votes.

Natrona County clerk Renea Vitto says a mandatory recount will be conducted Thursday.

“If it’s less than a one percent difference between the winning and the losing candidate, so to speak, then you have to do the recount,” Vitto said. “This is definitely less than a one percent difference with only three votes.”

Kroeker defeated Bishop 747 to 744 on Tuesday in the unopposed race. The recount will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
