A Casper man who received probation after admitting to using a knife to rob a federal credit union, might be going back to prison.

Twenty year old Dillon Martin admitted to probation violation, in a case where he pleaded guilty to one charge of aggravated robbery.

He was given a nine-to-17 year suspended prison sentence, with 10 years of probation, and was ordered to pay $14,000 plus in restitution, however prosecutors say he violated the terms of his probation, when he got arrested in early July 2016, for a number of traffic violations.

The Wyoming Department of Corrections alleges that before the arrest, Martin had violated other conditions of his probation, such as not attending counseling as directed, not notifying agents about his where-abouts or the fact that he had purchased a vehicle, and falsifying his work hours.

Casper Police say in late August 2013, Martin entered the River Rail Community Federal Credit Union on South Wolcott Street in Casper, pointed a knife at employees and told them to fill up the backpack.

He then fled the area, and police were unable to find him.

A couple of weeks later, detectives received information that Martin had been spending a large sum of money around town, including $10,000 in cash for a car, as well as new expensive clothes and was not working.

When interviewed, Martin confessed to the robbery and that he was acting alone at the time.

He was 17 at the time the crime was committed, and was charged as an adult.

He is being held without bond for his probation violation and will be sentenced at a later date.

Prosecutors could ask a judge to reinstate all or a portion of his suspended prison sentence.
