Going into yesterdays  game as 9 point underdogs the Denver Broncos were not given much of a chance against the Steelers. Today Bronco fans are rejoicing  after an unexpected win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the AFC playoffs. Denver came out playing tough defense and using an effective offense to move down the field and score. After leading 20-6 at halftime the Broncos gave up 10 unanswered points and allowed the Steelers offense to tie the game at 23. Denver went 3 and out and left Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Rothlisberger 1:48 left to break the tie. A stingy Denver defense came up with 3 sacks and caused a fumble which kept Pittsburgh from getting anywhere near field goal range forcing the game into overtime.

The Broncos won their first playoff game in six years when quarterback Tim Tebow hit receiver Demaryius Thomas for an 80-yard pass play for a touchdown on the first offensive play of overtime.
