A Casper man has been sentenced for his role in a bar fight.

31-year old Daniel Teel was sentenced to 12-18 months at the Wyoming State Penitentiary, after pleading guilty to aggravated assault.

According to prosecutors, back in late May, Teel was at the VFW Powder River Post bar on West 1st street, when he got into a conversation with Robert Moreno.

Moreno then told police that Teel sucker punched him, which resulted in his jaw getting broken.

Prosecutors told the judge that Teel had a history of assault charges along with failures to appear and resisting arrest.

The defense requested that the judge accept the plea agreement because Teel has bipolar disorder.
