More charges could be coming for a Casper woman, after pulling the trigger and shooting her husband.

Thirty seven year old Dana Miller has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a deadly weapon with intent to threaten the life of another.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say on Sunday evening (January 3rd), officers got a call from Miller, saying she had accidentally shot her 26-year old husband, at an apartment complex on Missouri Avenue.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a collapsed lung and had to be placed in a medically induced coma.

When interviewed, Miller said earlier that evening, her husband became too intoxicated and started calling her names, which caused her to become frustrated.

Miller, who had also been drinking, went and got a gun, and pointed it at her husband, in an attempt to get him to stop, but he continued and Miller pulled the trigger.

Prosecutors say an investigation is ongoing, and more serious charges could be filed later.

Miller is being held on $30,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face up to 10 years in prison on each of the aggravated assault charges, and up to five years in prison on the possession of a deadly weapon charge, if convicted.
