A frightening scene on a flight headed from the nation's capital is raising eyebrows.

A United flight from Washington, DC to Denver had to turn around Monday night after a passenger attempted to storm the cockpit while shouting "Jihad, jihad!"

A United official said pilots turned the plane around "after a passenger failed to comply with crew instructions."

After the man was subdued by passengers, he could be heard saying, "Sorry."

The story spread quickly after video of the altercation surfaced on Reddit.

After returning to Dulles International Airport, officials took the man into custody, although he has yet to be arrested or charged. He was taken to a hospital. He was not armed and it does not appear as if he has any terrorist ties.
