The Casper Coyotes Junior hockey team dominated the Cheyenne Stampede in their best of three WSHL playoff series, with an 8-1 win on Friday and a 9-0 victory on Saturday at the Casper Ice Arena. The Coyotes win the series 2 games to none and were barely challenged in either game. On Friday, Casper erupted for 4 goals in the 2nd period and all told, 8 different Coyote players scored goals. Sven Zinsli had a goal and 3 assists and Adam Andersson was solid between the pipes with 26 saves. Saturdays game was a ragged affair with 30 penalties thanks to Casper scoring 5 goals in the first period. At the end of the night, Lukas Lojka had 2 goals and Tim Baskin found the back of the net twice. Andersson was great in the net with 37 saves and a shut-out. The Coyotes will play Ogden in a best of three series starting on Friday in Utah in the 2nd round of the WSHL Playoffs. Ogden went 42-7-3 during the regular season.
