A Casper woman will be given some time to pay back money to a hotel that she once managed.

Courtney Stevens was given a six-to-eight year suspended prison sentence, with 10 years of probation, after pleading guilty to one charge of larceny.

Investigators say between March of 2010 through July of 2012, she took about $80,000 from the Super 8 hotel in Evansville, claiming most of the money was used to cover a surgical procedure.

She said she left the Super 8 and took another job, so she would quit stealing from the hotel.

The original plea deal called for five years of probation, but a judge rejected it, to allow Stevens more time to pay-back the money.
