Courtney Stevens Pleads Not Guilty To Larceny Charge

A Casper woman denies charges that she took money from a hotel that she managed.

Thirty-seven year old Courtney Stevens is accused of taking about 80-thousand dollars from the Super 8 Hotel in Evansville.

During a court appearance Tuesday, January 15th, she entered a not guilty plea to one charge of larceny.

Investigators say she admitted taking the money between March of 2010 through July of 2012, claiming most of the money was used to cover a surgical procedure.

She said she left the Super 8 and took another job so she would quit stealing from the hotel.

Stevens is free on five-thousand dollars bond awaiting trial, and could receive up to ten years in prison if convicted.
