Courtney Stevens Arrested For Taking Money From Evansville Hotel

A Casper woman is accused of taking money from a hotel she once managed.

37-year old Courtney Stevens is accused of taking about $80,000 from the Super 8 Hotel in Evansville.

Investigators say she admitted taking the money between March of 2010 through July of this year.

She claimed most of the money was used to cover a surgical procedure.

After July, she said she took another job so that she would quit stealing from the hotel.

Stevens is being held on five-thousand dollars bond awaiting trial and could receive up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
