SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - A couple who went missing hiking in the Bighorn Mountains last week has been found alive.

Johnson County Sheriff Steve Kozisek says 23-year-old Blake Fuhriman, 23, and his 22-year-old girlfriend Alissa DeVille climbed Black Tooth Mountain and then couldn't descend it because DeVille injured her leg.

Kozisek said the couple had stayed on the mountain since Friday.

Kozisek said Fuhriman had given relatives an itinerary of their travel plans that helped searchers find them.

Kozisek says Fuhriman was transported off the mountain Wednesday to the Johnson County Hospital.

Kozisek says DeVille remained on the mountain Wednesday evening with a six-person high altitude rescue team and would be removed as soon as possible.

Search teams from Johnson County and surrounding counties participated in the search. Kozisek says about 50 searchers participated.
