Casper City Council will review and vote on the city of Casper's proposed budget for the 2015 fiscal year on Tuesday.

Despite the city letting eight of its employees go, the proposed budget, which comes in at around $151 million after intergovernmental transactions are factored in, calls for a $1.4 million increase to the city's personnel budget to just under $49 million.

The capital budget, meanwhile, is projected to decrease by about $3 million to $51 million. The city is also projecting a two percent increase in general fund revenue and a fractional decrease in general fund expenditures.

Council is also looking to allocate $380,000 toward its council goals account for the fiscal year, which will be put toward community promotions.

Council will meet at Casper City Hall this Tuesday at 6 p.m. and will hold a public hearing on the budget before taking a final vote. The budget proposal can be viewed here.
