Improvements will be coming to a road on Casper’s east side.

Casper City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a $720,000 contract with a Mills-based company for improvements along Blackmore Road.

Casper mayor Paul Meyer said the project has a wide scope.

“Lots of maintenance, extra lanes, striping – just a bunch of miscellaneous stuff on that road,” Meyer said.

The project will also entail mill and overlay work, waterline replacement, the addition of storm drains and the installation of curb and gutter.

The city expects the project to be substantially completed by September.
