Connie Bryant Admits To Obtaining Goods Under False Pretenses

A Casper woman is admitting she took money for services that she did not perform.

Connie Bryant has pleaded guilty to one charge of obtaining goods under false pretenses.

Investigators say in August 2012, the Wyoming Division of Healthcare Financing, filed a report with the Wyoming Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.

The report said that one of their deaf clients was alleging that Bryant was her care provider from August 2010, through August 2011 and was not always providing services, but was sending bills.

The client said that Bryant was her mother and had her sign a blank service log and that Bryant had been making photocopies and sent bills.

Investigators examined some of the logs and it did appear that the client's signature had been photo-copied.

Bryant later admitted to police what she did and said the routine became easy and it was nice to have the extra cash.

Prosecutors say that Bryant is a first time offender and will probably seek a one-to-five year probation sentence, as well as having her pay resistution.
