LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming has selected 23 people to serve on a committee that will help choose the school's next president.

The Associated Press reports the appointees, announced Friday by UW Board President Dave Bostrom, will work with a Florida-based consulting firm the board hired to help find a successor to current president Tom Buchanan, who plans to retire next summer.

The university said in a news release that the committee includes members "representing a wide range of interests."

Committee members include UW trustees, faculty, staff and students, as well as a state legislator, community college president and representatives from various Wyoming industries.

A final decision is expected toward the end of February.
