A 29-year-old Colorado man died Monday following a one-car crash on I-25 about 35 miles north of Casper. The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports Jesse Ricks of Colorado Springs was northbound on the interstate when he lost control of his car. The vehicle slid off the road, went down an embankment and rolled several times. Another driver stopped to check on Ricks, who got out of his car and said he was “okay.”

It appears he collapsed a short time later and was unconscious when a nearby trooper arrived on scene. The trooper began CPR, but paramedics declared Ricks dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
