Colder, periods of wind and snow showers [VIDEO]

A trough of low pressure will move into the state of Wyoming today and will remain settled overhead through at least Sunday.  There will be faster-moving weather disturbances that side across the region during this time.  Two cold fronts, one today/tonight and another on Saturday, will also dig south across the area.  For today, expect increasing clouds, colder temperatures, and strong to very high winds throughout much of the state.  Most locations can expect wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph, while the more wind prone areas of central and southeastern Wyoming will see gusts up to 60 mph.  There could also be some gusts up to or exceeding 65 mph near Bordeaux, Elk Mountain, Arlington, Vedauwoo, and Buford through mid-day.  Light to scattered snow showers will continue to develop in western and northern portions of the state today.  Roads will likely be slick and icy and there will also be some areas of blowing snow, which will reduce visibility at times.  Elsewhere, expect a smaller chance for flurries or very light snow showers and only isolated slick spots.  Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, even colder temperatures, and daily chances for light to scattered snow showers Friday through at least Sunday.  While there will not be significant accumulations, roads will likely be slick and icy statewide.
