A slow-moving weather system and cold, Canadian air will continue to move into the state of Wyoming today.  Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies across the state with some areas of patchy fog and reduced visibility, mainly across central and southeastern Wyoming. Scattered rain showers with higher elevation snow will also be likely during the day. Slick and slushy roads will be possible across higher elevations of I-80 (Cheyenne to Arlington) and WY-28 near South Pass. Temperatures will be cold and well below normal, with daytime highs in the 30's and 40's.  Rain will then mix with and turn to wet snow across all of central and eastern Wyoming by later this evening and overnight.  Reduce visibility with wet to slick/slushy roadways are expected into Wednesday morning.  For lower elevations of far southwestern Wyoming, expect a rain/snow mix with mainly wet roads during this time.  There will be a chance for early snow or mixed showers on Wednesday as this latest weather system moves out of the area. Higher pressure will then build overhead for the afternoon hours. However, there will still be a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms due to lingering low-level moisture and daytime heating. We will see early fog and clouds and then partially clearing skies for the rest of the day. Temperatures will be not as cold, but still cooler than normal.
