The state will see better chances for showers and thunderstorms today and Saturday thanks to a passing cold front.  Western and northern portions of the state will see showers and thunderstorms develop later today.  They will spread south and east this evening and tonight.

Temperatures will be a bit cooler today in northern and western areas.  However, in the south daytime highs will still reach into the upper 70s and lower 80s helped along by plenty of sun and developing strong southwest winds ahead of the cold front.  Highs in Casper will be in the mid 70s.

Statewide, cooler temperatures will filter in behind the front for Saturday.  Casper's high temperatures will only be in the 50s to near 60.  Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will have a chance to develop in nearly all areas of the state.
