Cold and windy with blowing snow [VIDEO]
Our latest weather system will finally move out of the state of Wyoming this morning and we will then be in between weather systems for the rest of today. Expect early clouds with possibly a few lingering flurries or very light snow showers. We will then see increasing sunshine for the rest of the day. Temperatures, however, will remain very cold and below average. Highs will be in the teens to lower 20's, with even colder wind chill values. Winds will steadily increase and become strong to high across central and southern Wyoming later today and overnight. Most locations will see wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph, but the more wind-prone areas can expect gusts up to 60 mph. Blowing and drifting snow will also be likely, which will reduce visibility. Roads will also remain slick/icy to possibly snow-packed. For the rest of the state, cold temperatures will continue to keep roads slick and icy. A fast-moving weather disturbance will bring another round of snow to the region Thursday. While little to no new accumulations are expected, roads will likely be slick and icy. Strong to high winds will also continue to create blowing snow and lowered visibility in central and southern Wyoming.
