CODY, Wyo. (AP) — The National Tour Association rates the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody as among the favorite museums for group travelers to visit.

The center tied with New York City's American Museum of Natural History for third place in its museum category.

The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., was first, followed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Buffalo Bill center executive director Bruce Eldredge tells the Cody Enterprise (http://bit.ly/ysKuyH ) that it's an honor to be included with the Smithsonian, the Met and the American Museum of Natural History.

Eldredge says group tours taking in the Cody center have increased significantly in recent years and the honor is sure to draw more visitors.

The awards are based on surveys completed by NTA tour operators.
