MOOSE, Wyo. (AP) — A 27-year-old man is dead after falling about 1,000 feet while climbing the Middle Teton Mountain in Grand Teton National Park in northwest Wyoming.

The National Park Service says Justin H. Beldin, of Benicia, Calif., died about noon on Sunday after he and two climbing partners summited the 12,800-foot mountain and were beginning the descent.

Park rangers retrieved the body Monday after they were turned back by stormy weather on Sunday.

The Park Service says Beldin had been living in Victor, Idaho, since April and working in Jackson.

It is the fourth fatality in the Teton Range this year. Two backcountry skiers were killed in an avalanche on March 7, and another climber fell to his death earlier this month.
