The Casper-Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will take public comment on its annual transportation improvement plan at a meeting next Wednesday.

“This is just our effort to make sure we have a continuous, cooperative and comprehensive planning process to make sure that we’re covering all of our bases,” MPO supervisor Andrew Nelson said.

Nelson said the plan outlines multiple projects between 2014 and 2017.

“We anticipate spending between $11 million and $21 million in federal funds for transportation projects in the Casper area,” Nelson said. “That includes not only surface construction, but transit projects.”

Nelson said the meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on July 9 at Casper City Hall.
