The city of Casper held an interactive forum Wednesday night to try to figure out how Casper and Natrona County residents want future city one-cent funds to be spent if the sales tax is renewed for a 14th time this November.

Casper city manager John Patterson says the electronic poll results from Wednesday's meeting generally fell in line with previous survey responses.

“For the last several years, the citizens have said we want streets, public utilities, fire and police, and it seems those are the four biggies tonight – streets and roads, public safety and public utilities,” Patterson said.

Patterson says the city will spend the next few months collecting data through additional public forums and surveys.

“We will compile this data, add it to what we’ve received through the written surveys and online surveys, and, eventually, in May, we’ll do a composite and present it to our city council,” Patterson said.

Patterson urges area residents to fill out the city’s online one-cent survey at this website.
