A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says an apparent accidental shooting Thursday at the Lowe's Home Improvement Store remains under investigation.

Officer Dan Long says a 58-year-old woman in the store had a small caliber gun in a holster. The loaded gun apparently fell out and hit the ground, causing it to discharge and strike a 22-year-old woman in the arm.  The victim was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and treated for her injuries. Long says police are not releasing the names of the people involved at this point.

He says it's not known at this point whether anyone will be cited, adding the results of the investigation will determine what legal action, if any, might be taken.
