CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A Cheyenne lawmaker is sponsoring a bill that would require roofing contractors to give full written disclosures of the work they will perform.

It also would prohibit contractors from advertising to pay or rebate insurance deductibles.

Republican Rep. Pete Illoway tells the Casper Star-Tribune (http://bit.ly/wpbphV ) his bill is partly the result of a flood of homeowner complaints after a hail storm in Cheyenne on July 12.

The bill also would prohibit contractors from accepting money to allow another contractor to use their business name or contractor's license number.
