As Prca cowboys and cowgirls gather in Las Vegas, Nevada for the National Finals Rodeo, they also take time to honor those that work so hard during the course of the year to provide great rodeos for them to compete. For the 14th time, the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo has been voted PRCA Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year!

PRCA rodeo contract personnel, judges, clowns, stock contractors and contestants vote in October on the finalists for this award. Finalists then attend a PRCA banquet during the National Finals Rodeo, where the award recipient is announced.

Cheyenne Frontier Days has previously received the PRCA Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year award in 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Other winners announced last night include,

Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year: San Antonio, Texas
Medium Rodeo of the Year: Deadwood, South Dakota.
Small Rodeo of the Year : Elizabeth, Colorado
Stock Contractor of the Year Presented By Wrangler : Stace Smith Pro Rodeo.
Announcer of the Year presented by Montana Silversmiths, Wrangler, Boyd Gaming, Justin Boots : Boyd Polhamus .
Bullfighter of the Year Presented by Wrangler : Dusty Tuckness
2012 Clown of the Year Presented by MillerCoors: Justin Rumford
Comedy Act of the Year Presented by PRCA: John Harrison
Coors Man In The Can: Keith Isley
Dress Act of the Year Presented by PRCA: Tomas Garcilazo
2012 Pfizer Animal Health PRCA Veterinarian of the Year Presented by Purina:
Dr.Jake Wells
Secretary of the year Presented by Ram: Haley Schneeberger
