There is nothing more rewarding than caring for someone in need. At Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions, we do that and more through a group of highly trained and compassionate volunteers. Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions' mission is to companion the end-of-life journey with skill and compassion. Volunteers are a vital part of this dedicated team.

Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions is offering a five-week Volunteer Training for adults, 18 years or older, who are interested in providing companionship, respite care, light housekeeping or occasional transportation to our Transitions' and Hospice patients. Volunteers will undergo a thorough background check prior to working with any patient. In addition to patient care, volunteers are also needed for special projects, special events and office clerical work.

Volunteer Training will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on five consecutive Monday evenings starting Monday, June 2, 2014. Actual class dates are June 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at Central Wyoming Hospice & Transition Resource Center, 319 S. Wilson Street. Volunteers will learn about all aspects of Hospice Care.

Class size is limited so register now by calling Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions at 307-577-4832 or by emailing our volunteer coordinator, Brenda Evans at volunteer@cwhp.org.
