Wyoming will celebrate 125 years of statehood on Friday.

The celebration begins at 3:00 p.m. with the early release of state employees.

Governor Matt Mead and other dignitaries will then speak from the capitol steps.

The days festivities will also include an exhibition at the Wyoming State Museum, tours of the Historic Governor's Mansion and musical performances by the 67th Army Band, Jalan Crossland and others.

Streets will be closed around the capitol to help with safety and access for pedestrian traffic.
