Officials at the Natrona County Health Department say they've had reports of ash from the Sheep Herder Hill fire dropping as far away as Douglas. Audrey Grey is special operations manager at the health department and she says they're encouraging folks to take precautions if they find themselves cleaning up accumulated ash.
Even since Casper Mountain’s 2006 fire, the proliferation of smart phones and social media has increased at an amazing rate – leading to a ton of videos and photos being posted and shared on the Sheep Herder Hill fire. (Important to note that you shouldn’t be in the way of officials while shooting these, as some tend to do here in Casper during emergency situations.)
