2012 API Chili Cookoff Heats Things Up In Casper [PHOTOS]

If there is one way to combat the cold that comes with Winter winds, it's by downing over 40 different kinds of chili at the 2012 API Chili Cookoff. Vendors came, saw, and attempted to conquer each other's chili recipe and we the public were able to sample the best chili from all over. Crowds would brave long waits and miniscule parking for a chance to taste some authentic and filling Italian food. Casper Food Critic- Tacos Mexican Has Authentic Mexican Food, Not Authentic Mexican Temperatures

A cold and windy day was laid out before us. As the snow fell, the critic crew loaded up and headed out, looking for something to warm our bones. As we circled town, we had the usual conversation. “Where do you want to go?” would fly from the backseat. A brave individual would reply with “Pizza” to which everybody would groan. After several attempts and awkward silences, somebody threw out “Mexican?” We all exchanged glances and without a rebuttal, we charted a course for our next meal.
