July 16, 2012 Every other year, we in Casper have been treated to a visit from a Taste Of Home economist in our Taste of Home Cooking Schools and now Taste of Home magazine is looking for an official Holiday Ambassador, and they want to hear from you in Wyoming who love cooking, decorating, and entertaining,and who take celebrating the holidays to a whole new level!

Now that the CWFR has come and gone, we thought it would behoove us to “take to the streets” and find out what YOU thought of the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. Mmm. Fair food is my absolute favorite kind of food in the world. I spent the entire week at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, and ate an inordinate amount of fair food. I ate burgers, and hot dogs, and corn dogs, and bbq, and funnel cake, and curly fries and ice cream. It was the greatest week of my life. Here are some pictures.
All my life, I’ve wanted to be a carnival worker (carnie, for short). I’m not exactly sure why- maybe it’s the art of the sell, or the allure of taking people’s money because they’re too stupid to stop playing. Maybe I just like cat-calling people. Whatever the reason, I’ve always wanted to be one. That will never happen, so I resigned myself to just meeting a few of them at this year’s Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo.
It’s been a wild ride at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, and we totally intended for that pun. This is because the Rodeo part of the CWFR has been a roller coaster (or a bull ride?) of emotions. There were winners, losers, dreams chases,dreams realized, and dreams crushed as men and women put i all on the line for their shot at glory. Here are just a few photos from the CWFR Finals.
It’s been a heckuva week for the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. All sorts of people came out to ride rides, eat good (but not good for you) food, throw up on their friends, watch the rodeo and more. Here are some pics from the final night of the CWFR.
When Chelsea Strama came to Casper with her company for the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, she had no idea what local beauty awaited her. These options were put together by a steady stream of scientists who spent years calculating the fun ratio of each activity…actually, we just went to the fair one night and came up with them. So with that, here is Our Top 5 Best Parts of the CWFR.
It’s easy for us to wax poetic about how great the Parade is. We realize this, so we took to the streets, so to speak, to find out what YOU like about the parade. We interviewed kids, adults, businesses, etc. to find out what Casper actually thinks. And other than wanting to punch clowns in the face, these opinions are strictly yours and have no reflection on the thoughts of us. Except for the clowns. Clowns suck.
